Rites of Passage
As a Unitarian Universalist minister and chaplain I am accustomed to working with people from many faith traditions, athiests, agnostics, the "spiritual but not religious." It is part of my spiritual practice to always meet people where they are as we create a rite of passage together that will be thoughtful, personal and meaningful. While I am based in the St. Louis metro area, I am willing and able to travel for ceremonies.

Weddings, Commitment Ceremonies & Unions
Making a formal commitment to love through a wedding, union or commitment ceremony is an exciting and joy-filled experience. Your wedding or commitment day will be a memory held forever in hearts, minds and photo albums. Creating a ceremony that is meaningful to each couple is paramount. From traditional to alternative to just about anything in between, I will work with you to craft a service that reflects your personalities and relationship.
I am honored to work with individuals and couples who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, from traditional religions, mixed religious backgrounds, and those who hold no particular faith home.

Memorial Services and Funerals
Dealing with death and dying is complex. During these difficult times I will walk with you and your loved ones to create a service that honors and celebrates the life that has passed as well as acknowledges the grief that is very much present for those who mourn. The service can include music, readings, reflections and memories offered by friends and family members, a homily if you wish. I will build a service that will blend any wishes left by your loved one with your vision.

Baby Namings, Child Blessings
Welcoming a new member of a family, whether through birth, adoption or fostering, is sacred. As a parent myself I find child blessings and baby namings to be a joyful and often spontaneous ritual. As much as we can plan these ceremonies, children bring their own energies and moods to the mix; flexibility and a calm presence are "musts haves."
